International mobility for professors/researchers and officers
UNICT supports incoming and outgoing mobility of professors/researchers and officers through two main programmes:
ERASMUS+
Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)
STA programme supports incoming/outgoing mobility for one-week teaching of professors/researchers from/to Erasmus partner higher education institutions.

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training (STT)
STT programma supports international mobility from/to Erasmus partner higher education institutions for training activities of university staff to support the professional development of participants.
UNICT supports with this measure only the mobility of staff belonging to the International Mobility Office (UMI) and the Departments’ Erasmus Offices. Nevertheless, both foreign officers and professors/researcher funded by their institution are welcome at our Department.

Our Department has 51 ongoing Erasmus partnerships with institutions from several European countries (see our Erasmus agreements page for more info).
UNICT INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAMME
This programme regulates incoming and outgoing staff mobility for teaching or research from/to extra-European and European countries that is not framed in other mobility programmes (e.g., Erasmus +, Marie Curie, Fullbright, Horizon 2020, Miur)

Furthermore, the University of Catania supports the International Mobility Programme by the institution of incentive funds distributed to the UNICT Departments taking into account the parameters defined by the University Strategic Plan.
